Recently, the Russian ZALA AERO Group demonstrated a new anti-UAV weapon. The anti-drone gun REX-2 is a new version of the well-known drone jammer weapon REX-1.
According to the company’s website, REX-1 is a compact non-lethal weapon that can suppress SNS signals (GPS/GLONASS) and control channels between the drone and its operator within a range of 2 kilometers.
The new version is lighter: the size is reduced and the weight is now 3 kg. The basic configuration includes three suppression modules (2.4 GHz, 5,8 GHz, SNS). The SNS suppression module is built into the REX-2 body. There is also a battery indicator, which makes it easier to control battery power.
The suppression frequency can be adjusted according to customer requirements. Video recorder, strobe, laser and aiming device are available as options.
REX-2 has completed laboratory tests and is approved for operator safety. The electromagnetic radiation rate is within the allowable range.
